The task must be attainable within the timescale and the team and the person who is responsible for doing it has agreed that it is.

Realistic & Resourced

The task is realistic and the required resources are in place.

Time scheduled

The date that the task is to be achieved is specified and agreed.

For more complex tasks, the person responsible should create a set of milestones and report progress on these milestones.

The milestones themselves should be SMART.
